Hey everyone!
Based on some awesome player feedback, I've made a few tweaks and added some new things to the game.
Color & Art Changes:
- Mechanisms are now warmer colors: I felt that warmer colors for the traps and contraptions fit the BGM and the overall vibe better than the old cool tones.
- New checkpoint art and sound: The old flags felt a little out of place with the game's style, so I've updated their design. I also changed the sound effect, and now, activated checkpoints won't keep making noise every time you touch them.
Quality of Life Improvements:
- Respawning blocks now have a timer: After a block disappears, a simple indicator line will now show you when it's about to come back. No more memorizing the timing!
- Other small tweaks: The hammer's charging sound is a bit softer now; there's a new animation when the key unlocks the door; the logic for how the key follows nails has been adjusted; I've added extra checkpoints in some of the trickier spots for faster restarts; and the nails now wake up a bit faster.
New Content & Guidance:
- The starting NPC actually has some extra dialogue if you collect all three triangles (it's mostly just me rambling, haha). But I noticed some players were easily missing the first hidden wall and couldn't see the ending on their first run.
- To help with this and a few other tricky spots, I've now added two new mouse NPCs to give players some helpful hints.
A huge special thank you to the player jayfa, who left some incredibly valuable and detailed feedback after playing. Your suggestions were a massive help in making this update happen!
